Our Service

Dependable Hydro Jetting Service in Burleson, TX

Some clogs refuse to give in to standard cabling, and that is exactly where hydro jetting earns its reputation. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter brings this high-pressure cleaning method to homes and businesses throughout Burleson, TX, restoring drain capacity that years of buildup have stolen. Our team launches every jetting job with a sewer camera pass, confirming the line is structurally sound enough to handle the pressure safely. Cast iron with heavy scale, PVC packed with grease, and clay lines holding fine root growth each respond differently to the water stream. Nozzle selection is matched to the situation, with forward-cutting heads for tough obstructions and rear-thrust patterns for cleaning along the full pipe wall. Pressure is dialed to the pipe material and condition rather than maxing out by default, which prevents damage to aging lines. Restaurants, salons, auto shops, and other commercial properties often schedule recurring jetting to stay ahead of grease and sediment that build up between cleanings. Residential customers turn to jetting when slow drains keep coming back after standard snaking, since cables punch holes through buildup while jetting actually removes it. Floor drains, kitchen branches, laundry lines, and main sewer runs all benefit from the same approach. A follow-up camera scope verifies the line is clear from end to end before we close out the job. Pricing is shared up front in plain numbers, and the work area is left clean. Since 2007, Burleson property owners have counted on our crew for drain solutions that actually last.

CHRIS & BRODY great team, in/out same day, very professional, very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, clean, clean, clean. Explained steps, Communicated proficiently, let Granny hover, & watch, I'm not easy client for any professional. The only thing I wish warranty was minimum 90 days, but I've used, & trusted 1960's plumbing issues, since 2015. We learned to do both roof top clean outs 100 feet minimum for tree roots backing up toilet paper, we only use cheap Scott very thin toilet paper if we don't want more than 1X year clean out. We are seniors, fixed income, every plumbing emergency comes out of food budget. We eat beans & corn bread when we have plumbing issues. God Bless Curly's BIG BLADE PLUMBING Out of Cleburne, Texas. Denise & Christy answer phones, very polite, always helpful, Denise will get you on schedule as soon as possible, never waited very long especially in sewage backups. I always ask for clean, knowledgeable, experienced plumbers. I don't hesitate to call CURLY'S BIG BLADE PLUMBING.

Very good experience! Everyone that I encountered from this organization was kind and helpful from the lady that answered the phone to the plumber and his helper who did the job. I was scheduled promptly. They called and gave me the time that he would arrive. The job was done quickly and professionally by a Master plumber. They also left things clean and showed me how things work ed. I will use them again when I have plumbing needs.

Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter came out to fix an incoming water line that was leaking in between two bushes. The previous company had quoted a higher price and wanted to remove the bushes and replace the shut off valve, which was still good. Big Blade Plumbing fixed the leak for a much cheaper price and didn’t remove any bushes. For that I give them 5 Stars.

After having a different company come out and price gouge me and calling around I couldn’t find anybody to help me with my clogged line, I was parked at a gas station and saw BIG BLADE truck drive by so I got out my phone and called, I was greeted on the phone by Denise who was extremely polite and professional, with no high pressure in setting the appointment. The price was extremely fair and affordable so we went ahead and booked an appointment, Hershel and Dylan arrived promptly like within 30-40 minutes of us calling and setting the appointment, they got here and did exactly what they said they were going to without pressuring me into getting other services they executed the repair so fast and explained to me about my 30 day warranty and potential risks to look out for in the future! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND using this service. Amazing job thank you guys so much for you’re help and relieving me of all the stress that comes with plumbing difficulties!

Hydro Jetting Service

Understanding what hydro jetting actually does helps homeowners appreciate why this method delivers results that cable cleaning often cannot match. Hydro jetting forces high-pressure water through a specialized nozzle designed to scour pipe walls clean while flushing debris completely out of the line. The water pressure ranges from 1,500 psi for routine residential cleaning up to 4,000 psi or more for commercial applications and the toughest blockages encountered in field service. Different nozzles serve different purposes during the work, with some designs cutting through tough materials like compacted grease or fibrous roots, others sweeping accumulated debris ahead of the water stream, and still others scrubbing pipe walls with rotating water patterns that reach every interior surface. The combination of pressure and proper nozzle selection produces cleaning that removes material from pipe walls rather than just punching a hole through the center of a clog. Cable cleaning often leaves substantial buildup in place on pipe walls because the cable only contacts the immediate blockage rather than the surrounding pipe surfaces. The water and debris flow downstream out of the line through the building’s normal discharge path during jetting operations. Our team selects the right pressure and nozzle combination for the specific situation rather than using one configuration for every job.

Assessing whether hydro jetting is the right approach for a specific drain problem requires camera inspection and careful evaluation of pipe condition before any high-pressure work begins. Camera footage reveals the type of buildup, the location of problems, the material and condition of the pipe, and any structural issues that affect the jetting decision. Lines with grease accumulation, mineral scale, sediment buildup, or fibrous root intrusion typically respond well to hydro jetting and benefit significantly from the thorough cleaning the technology delivers. Lines with collapsed sections, severely corroded pipe walls, separated joints, or other structural damage may not be appropriate for high-pressure cleaning because the work could worsen existing problems. Older clay tile sewer lines, aging cast iron pipes with significant internal corrosion, and damaged pipe sections deserve careful evaluation before jetting proceeds. Our team shares findings with the homeowner openly during the assessment, including any concerns about pipe condition that affect the cleaning approach. Sometimes the right answer is cable cleaning with lower pressure, sometimes hydro jetting is appropriate, and sometimes pipe repair must precede any cleaning work. Honest evaluation protects both the pipe and the homeowner’s interests rather than defaulting to whatever method is most profitable for the contractor.

Kitchen drain lines represent one of the most common applications for hydro jetting service in residential settings. Grease, cooking oils, food particles, and soap residue accumulate inside kitchen drains over years of normal use, gradually narrowing the pipe and creating chronic slow drainage that worsens despite repeated cable cleanings. Cable cleaning typically punches a hole through grease buildup without removing the material from pipe walls, which means the grease quickly recaptures new debris and the problem returns within weeks or months. Hydro jetting addresses kitchen drains differently by scouring pipe walls and flushing the loosened grease completely out of the line. Hot water from the jet softens accumulated grease for easier removal during the cleaning process. The thorough cleaning often eliminates the cycle of repeated cable cleanings that frustrates homeowners and adds up to significant cost over time. Restaurant lines, commercial kitchens, and high-volume residential kitchens benefit particularly from periodic hydro jetting to maintain reliable drainage. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter handles kitchen drain jetting for both residential and commercial customers throughout Burleson with equipment sized appropriately for each application.

Main sewer line jetting addresses the most challenging drainage problems in residential plumbing systems. Tree root intrusion is one of the leading causes of main line problems across the Burleson area, with roots entering pipes through tiny cracks or joint failures and growing into dense mats that block flow. Cable cleaning cuts a hole through root masses but typically leaves root material attached to the pipe interior where regrowth happens within months. Hydro jetting with appropriate root-cutting nozzles removes much more of the root material and extends the time between service calls significantly compared to cable-only treatment. Sediment, mineral scale, and accumulated waste buildup in main lines respond well to hydro jetting because the water carries the loosened material entirely out of the system. The thorough cleaning often dramatically improves main line flow capacity beyond what cable cleaning achieves. Cleanout access points along the main line provide the entry points for jetting equipment, and our trucks carry the hoses and reel systems needed to reach problems hundreds of feet from the cleanout. Combining camera inspection with main line jetting documents the work and confirms thoroughness in ways that satisfy both the homeowner and any inspector reviewing the property.

Commercial applications for hydro jetting include restaurant grease lines, multi-family property drains, retail and office building plumbing, and any commercial situation where reliable drainage matters to business operations. Restaurants face particular drain challenges because of the volume of grease, food waste, and other materials that pass through commercial kitchens daily. Grease interceptors capture much of the grease before it enters the drain system, but lines downstream of the interceptor still accumulate buildup over time. Regular hydro jetting on commercial grease lines prevents the major backups that interrupt business operations and create health code issues. Multi-family properties have main drain lines serving multiple units, with corresponding higher use levels that justify periodic professional cleaning. Office buildings and retail spaces have their own drain systems that benefit from preventive jetting rather than reactive response to backups. Our team handles commercial accounts on scheduled maintenance plans that prevent problems and protect business operations. Documentation of regular cleaning supports both health inspections and property maintenance records.

Camera inspection before and after hydro jetting provides documentation that protects everyone involved in the project. Pre-jetting camera footage establishes the baseline condition of the pipe, documents the specific problems requiring attention, and confirms the pipe is suitable for high-pressure cleaning before the work begins. The footage often reveals issues the homeowner did not know existed, including minor cracks, root intrusion points, sediment buildup, and other conditions that affect long-term performance. Post-jetting camera footage documents the cleaning thoroughness and confirms the underlying pipe condition after debris has been removed. Comparing before-and-after footage shows dramatic improvements in many cases and provides evidence supporting the value of the cleaning work performed. Recording inspections gives the homeowner documentation for property records, real estate transactions, or insurance purposes. Some issues identified during inspection warrant additional work beyond jetting, including pipe repair for damaged sections or addressing root intrusion sources. We discuss findings with the homeowner during and after the work to support informed decisions about follow-up service. Transparency throughout the process builds trust that customers value.

Safety considerations during hydro jetting protect both the technician performing the work and the property where the service is being delivered. High-pressure water creates real hazards when handled improperly, including injury from water contact with skin and damage from accidental contact with the wrong surfaces. Our technicians wear appropriate protective equipment including safety glasses, gloves, and waterproof clothing during jetting operations. Proper hose handling and pressure management prevent the dangerous backwash situations that can occur when the hose end loses control. Adequate ventilation matters when jetting indoor lines, particularly when working near gas appliances or other potential ignition sources. Water containment at access points prevents spray damage to surrounding finishes during the work. Our team conducts safety briefings before complex jetting jobs and follows established protocols on every project regardless of size. Customer safety also matters during jetting, with appropriate barriers and warnings around active work areas to prevent accidental injury to children, pets, or other people on the property. Professional handling of this powerful equipment protects everyone involved and produces the results without the problems that careless work creates.

Our Service

Why Hiring a Licensed Plumber for Hydro Jetting Service Matters in Burleson

Hydro jetting equipment generates pressure that can damage weakened pipes when used by untrained hands. Licensed plumbers in Texas study pipe materials, structural conditions, and safe pressure ranges for every drain type. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter has carried a Texas plumbing license since 2007, bringing verified expertise to every Burleson jetting job. A licensed professional inspects the line with a camera first, confirming the pipe is structurally sound before pressure goes in. Unlicensed operators often skip that step, which can rupture aging cast iron, collapse Orangeburg, or worsen offset joints. Licensed plumbers also select the correct nozzle, since wrong choices can damage pipe walls or fail to clear the blockage. Texas plumbing code addresses sewer venting, cleanouts, and backflow protection that all factor into safe jetting. Our crew respects those standards on every job. Liability coverage protects your property in the rare event something unexpected occurs. Honest reporting on pipe condition comes standard, including footage from camera inspections. Recurring clogs often point to deeper issues that licensed eyes can identify and address. Choosing a licensed plumber like Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter means the line is cleaned thoroughly and the system is respected.

Most Common Hydro Jetting Service Questions

Hydro jetting is a powerful cleaning method that raises questions for homeowners considering the service. Below are the questions Burleson homeowners ask most often before scheduling hydro jetting.

Hydro jetting is a drain cleaning method that uses high-pressure water through a specialized nozzle to clean pipe interiors and flush debris out of drain lines. The pressure ranges from 1,500 psi for routine residential work up to 4,000 psi for commercial applications and the toughest blockages. Different nozzles serve different purposes including cutting tough materials, sweeping debris, and scrubbing pipe walls clean. The water and loosened debris flow downstream out of the line through the building’s normal discharge path. The technology delivers more thorough cleaning than cable methods because it removes material from pipe walls rather than just punching through clogs.

Cable cleaning has been the traditional drain cleaning method for many decades and works well for routine clogs in good-condition pipes. A flexible steel cable with various cutting heads threads through the pipe and physically breaks up or hooks into blockages. The cable rotates by motor power to drive the cutting action against the clog. Cable cleaning is generally less expensive than hydro jetting and uses less water during the process. The method effectively handles many common drain problems including hair clogs, root intrusion, and various flushed objects.

The choice between hydro jetting and cable cleaning depends on the specific situation rather than one method being universally better. Routine clogs in newer plumbing often respond well to cable cleaning at lower cost. Grease-heavy lines, recurring problems, commercial applications, and lines with significant buildup benefit more from hydro jetting because of the thorough cleaning the technology delivers. Aging or fragile pipes may not tolerate high-pressure cleaning safely, making cable methods the appropriate choice. Our team evaluates each situation and recommends the right approach based on what will work best for the specific drain problem and pipe condition.

Hydro jetting costs typically exceed cable cleaning prices because of the specialized equipment, additional setup time, and more thorough work the service involves. Residential hydro jetting on a single line falls in a moderate price range that depends on the line length, access conditions, and the specific situation. Main sewer line jetting costs more than fixture-level jetting because of the larger pipe diameter and longer runs typically involved. Commercial hydro jetting costs depend heavily on the scope of work and the access conditions at the property. We provide flat-rate pricing upfront after assessment so customers know the total cost before authorizing the work.

Camera inspection is often included in hydro jetting service or available as an addition that supports diagnosis and verification. Pre-jetting inspection confirms the pipe is suitable for high-pressure work and identifies the specific issues requiring attention. Post-jetting inspection documents the thoroughness of the cleaning and confirms underlying pipe condition. The combined service costs more than jetting alone but provides documentation and assurance that justifies the investment for many situations. Recorded video footage of inspections becomes useful for property records, real estate transactions, or insurance purposes.

Several factors affect the final cost of hydro jetting service for a specific project. Access conditions matter because difficult cleanout locations or required fixture removal add time to the work. Multiple lines being cleaned during the same visit may qualify for combined pricing that saves compared to separate appointments. Severe blockages requiring extended jetting time cost more than routine maintenance cleaning. Camera inspection adds modest cost but provides invaluable information that improves the overall service. After-hours and emergency premiums apply when service is needed outside normal business hours. Quotes always come before work begins, with any premiums or additional charges clearly disclosed upfront.

Hydro jetting is the better choice for situations involving substantial grease buildup, recurring clogs in the same line, commercial applications, and lines with significant accumulated buildup on pipe walls. Kitchen drain lines that develop chronic slow drainage despite repeated cable cleanings often benefit from hydro jetting because the thorough cleaning addresses the grease coating on pipe walls. Main sewer lines with root intrusion problems typically respond better to hydro jetting because the high-pressure water removes more root material than cable cutting alone. Lines with sediment, mineral scale, or accumulated debris buildup deliver dramatic improvement after hydro jetting compared to cable methods.

Cable cleaning remains the appropriate choice for routine clogs in newer plumbing, situations where the pipe condition cannot tolerate high pressure, and budget-sensitive situations where the more thorough cleaning of jetting is not necessary. Hair clogs in bathroom drains often clear effectively with cable methods at lower cost than jetting. Simple flushed object retrievals work best with cable methods that can hook and retrieve items. Aging clay tile sewer lines, severely corroded cast iron pipes, and other compromised plumbing materials may not tolerate hydro jetting pressure safely.

The recommendation between methods should come from careful assessment of the specific situation rather than universal preference for either approach. Our team uses camera inspection to evaluate pipe condition and identify the specific problem before recommending a cleaning method. Lines suitable for jetting often benefit dramatically from the more thorough cleaning the technology provides. Lines unsuitable for jetting receive appropriate cable cleaning that addresses the immediate problem without creating new ones. Honest evaluation protects both the homeowner’s investment in the cleaning service and the long-term health of the plumbing system. Pressure for upselling does not enter our recommendations because doing the right work matters more than the dollar value of any single job.

Hydro jetting is safe for plumbing in good condition when performed by experienced technicians using appropriate pressure and nozzle selection for the specific application. Modern PVC, ABS, copper, cast iron in sound condition, and properly installed clay tile generally tolerate hydro jetting well when the pressure is matched to the pipe and application. The technology has been used safely on residential and commercial systems for many decades when handled by trained professionals. Manufacturer specifications for various pipe materials provide pressure limits that experienced operators stay within during normal cleaning work.

Concerns about pipe damage arise primarily with aging or compromised plumbing that may not tolerate high-pressure cleaning safely. Older clay tile sewer lines with weakened joints, severely corroded cast iron pipes with thin walls, and damaged pipe sections deserve careful evaluation before jetting proceeds. Pipe condition is identified through camera inspection rather than assumed based on age alone. Some older pipes remain sound and tolerate jetting well, while other newer pipes may have damage that affects the cleaning approach. The decision about jetting safety comes from inspection findings rather than general rules.

Our team assesses pipe condition before recommending hydro jetting and adjusts the approach when conditions warrant. Lower pressure jetting sometimes provides adequate cleaning while protecting fragile pipes from damage. Cable cleaning replaces jetting when conditions are clearly unsuitable for high-pressure work. Pipe repair may need to precede any cleaning when significant damage is present that the cleaning could worsen. Honest evaluation considers the long-term health of the plumbing system rather than just the immediate cleaning service. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter has cleaned thousands of drain lines across Burleson without damaging pipes because we evaluate before we jet rather than aggressive cleaning that creates problems.

A typical residential hydro jetting service takes between one and three hours depending on the line length, the type and severity of buildup, and the access conditions at the property. Single-line cleaning on accessible drains often completes in the shorter range. Main sewer line jetting typically takes longer because of the greater pipe length and the more substantial buildup commonly present. Camera inspection before and after the jetting adds setup time but provides valuable documentation and verification. Setup of the jetting equipment, including hose deployment and connection to water supply, adds to total time beyond the actual cleaning.

Several factors can extend hydro jetting time beyond standard ranges. Difficult cleanout access requiring fixture removal or alternative entry points adds setup time. Heavy buildup requiring multiple passes with different nozzles takes longer than routine maintenance cleaning. Extended runs to reach problems hundreds of feet from the cleanout require longer working time. Cleaning related issues discovered during the work, including additional buildup beyond the original scope, can extend the visit accordingly. Camera documentation throughout the process adds value but takes time to perform properly.

Commercial applications and larger systems naturally take longer than residential service. Restaurant grease lines, multi-family property drains, and large commercial buildings have correspondingly more extensive cleaning needs. Scheduled maintenance for commercial customers often involves multiple lines during the same visit, which adds to total project time but benefits from combined setup efficiency. Our team provides realistic time estimates during scheduling so customers can plan accordingly. Communication during the work keeps everyone informed about progress and any developments that affect timing. Quality cleaning takes the time required to do the work properly rather than rushing through to meet artificial deadlines.

Most modern residential plumbing materials tolerate hydro jetting well when the pressure is matched appropriately to the application. PVC, ABS, and other thermoplastic drain pipes handle hydro jetting at typical residential pressures without difficulty. Copper drain pipes, where used in older homes, generally tolerate jetting well when in sound condition. Cast iron sewer lines in good condition can be jetted effectively, though aging cast iron with significant internal corrosion deserves careful evaluation before high-pressure work proceeds. Newer composite pipe materials including HDPE and various proprietary products typically handle hydro jetting at recommended pressures.

Older sewer materials require more careful evaluation before hydro jetting. Clay tile sewer lines, common in some older neighborhoods, can be jetted at appropriate pressure but the joints between tile sections may be vulnerable to high-pressure water. Asbestos cement sewer pipe, often called Orangeburg pipe, was used in some installations through the 1970s and deserves careful inspection before any cleaning work. Damaged pipes of any material may not tolerate normal jetting pressure safely. Camera inspection before jetting identifies these conditions and informs the cleaning approach accordingly.

The decision about which pipes to jet comes from inspection rather than universal rules about pipe materials. Some clay tile lines from the 1950s remain sound and tolerate jetting well, while some PVC installations from the 1990s have been damaged by construction settlement or other factors that affect their integrity. The pipe condition matters more than the pipe material in determining whether jetting is appropriate. Our team uses camera inspection to evaluate each situation individually rather than applying generic rules that may not fit the specific property. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter has experience with every common pipe material in our service area.

Hydro jetting frequency depends on the specific use patterns, the property characteristics, and the underlying drain conditions present. Most residential homes do not need routine hydro jetting and benefit from the service primarily when specific problems arise that respond best to high-pressure cleaning. Homes with chronic kitchen drain problems often benefit from annual jetting to manage grease buildup before it causes major problems. Properties with sewer line root intrusion sometimes need annual or biennial jetting to control the recurring growth. Households with significant garbage disposal use generate more debris that may justify periodic professional cleaning.

Commercial applications often benefit from scheduled jetting on regular intervals rather than waiting for problems. Restaurants typically jet grease lines monthly to quarterly depending on volume and configuration. Multi-family properties may schedule main line jetting annually to maintain reliable service across all units. Office buildings, retail spaces, and other commercial properties have their own appropriate maintenance schedules based on use patterns. Scheduled maintenance prevents the major problems that interrupt operations and protects business reputation. Documentation of regular cleaning supports both health inspections and property maintenance records.

Signs that suggest jetting is appropriate include recurring slow drainage despite cable cleanings, returning clogs in the same line over short periods, multiple drains showing problems simultaneously, gurgling sounds during normal use, and visible buildup at accessible drain points. Camera inspection of suspect lines identifies whether jetting is the right answer or whether other approaches better fit the specific situation. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter helps customers determine appropriate maintenance schedules based on their property characteristics rather than generic recommendations. Prevention costs a fraction of emergency response, and well-maintained drain systems deliver reliable performance over many years.

Hydro jetting performed properly by experienced technicians does not damage plumbing in good condition. The technology has been used safely on millions of residential and commercial systems for decades when handled by trained professionals using appropriate pressure and nozzle selection. Modern plumbing materials including PVC, ABS, copper, and sound cast iron tolerate hydro jetting well at standard residential pressures. The water pressure used in residential jetting falls well within the burst pressure ratings of all common pipe materials when applied through properly designed nozzles.

Improper hydro jetting can damage aging or compromised plumbing in several ways. Excessive pressure applied to thin-walled or corroded pipes can crack or rupture the pipe. Wrong nozzle selection can concentrate force on weak points and cause failures at joints or in damaged sections. Pushing through obstructions when underlying problems suggest pipe damage can worsen existing conditions rather than addressing them properly. Lack of camera inspection before jetting prevents the assessment that protects fragile pipes from inappropriate cleaning. Unqualified operators using rented or purchased jetting equipment without proper training represent the most common source of jetting damage.

The case for hiring experienced licensed plumbers for hydro jetting rests on these safety considerations beyond just the cleaning quality. Our team assesses pipe condition before jetting and adjusts the approach based on what we find through camera inspection. We carry equipment that allows pressure adjustment for different applications rather than running maximum pressure on every job. Training and experience guide nozzle selection for the specific cleaning need and pipe condition involved. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter has cleaned thousands of lines across Burleson without damaging pipes because we evaluate carefully and clean appropriately. Safe hydro jetting requires the professional approach that comes from years of trade experience.
