Our Service

Dependable Faucet Repair Service in Burleson, TX

A faucet that drips overnight or struggles to deliver steady pressure rarely fixes itself, and the problem usually grows with time. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter repairs faucets across Burleson, TX, tracing the actual cause rather than throwing parts at the symptom. Our team disassembles the fixture carefully, inspects cartridges, ceramic discs, springs, seats, and O-rings, then identifies which component has worn out. North Texas water carries calcium and magnesium that deposit inside valves over the years, restricting flow and shortening seal life. We clean affected internals, swap out failed parts with the correct manufacturer specifications, and reassemble the fixture to factory tolerances. Stiff handles, swivel spouts that no longer rotate smoothly, and base plates that wobble all receive attention during the same visit. Aerators get pulled, soaked, and rinsed to restore full stream pressure at kitchen and bathroom fixtures. Sprayer hoses, diverter valves, and pull-down docking magnets each have their own failure patterns, and we know where to look. We carry common cartridge styles on every truck, which often allows same-day completion without a second trip. If a faucet has reached the point where parts no longer make sense, honest replacement guidance is offered with no pressure. Pricing is shared up front, and surrounding finishes are protected during the work. Since 2007, Burleson families have leaned on our crew for repairs that quiet the drip and keep the fixture useful for years.

CHRIS & BRODY great team, in/out same day, very professional, very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, clean, clean, clean. Explained steps, Communicated proficiently, let Granny hover, & watch, I'm not easy client for any professional. The only thing I wish warranty was minimum 90 days, but I've used, & trusted 1960's plumbing issues, since 2015. We learned to do both roof top clean outs 100 feet minimum for tree roots backing up toilet paper, we only use cheap Scott very thin toilet paper if we don't want more than 1X year clean out. We are seniors, fixed income, every plumbing emergency comes out of food budget. We eat beans & corn bread when we have plumbing issues. God Bless Curly's BIG BLADE PLUMBING Out of Cleburne, Texas. Denise & Christy answer phones, very polite, always helpful, Denise will get you on schedule as soon as possible, never waited very long especially in sewage backups. I always ask for clean, knowledgeable, experienced plumbers. I don't hesitate to call CURLY'S BIG BLADE PLUMBING.

Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter came out to fix an incoming water line that was leaking in between two bushes. The previous company had quoted a higher price and wanted to remove the bushes and replace the shut off valve, which was still good. Big Blade Plumbing fixed the leak for a much cheaper price and didn’t remove any bushes. For that I give them 5 Stars.

Faucet Repair Service

Pinpointing exactly why a faucet is dripping, leaking, or operating poorly is the foundation of every effective repair we perform, because guessing leads to wasted parts and repeat callbacks. Our plumbers begin with a careful examination of the symptoms, asking when the problem started, whether it has worsened over time, and which specific operations trigger the issue. A faucet that drips constantly from the spout typically points to worn valve components like cartridges, washers, or seats that no longer create a complete seal when the handle is in the closed position. Leaks at the base of the spout or around the handle usually indicate failed O-rings or seals within the faucet body rather than valve issues, and these problems often appear after years of use as the elastomer materials lose their resilience. Reduced flow at the spout often signals aerator clogging, sprayer head issues, or internal buildup within the faucet itself that gradually restricts water passage. Hot or cold side problems specifically affect only one supply path, often pointing to the cartridge or valve serving that side while the other side remains functional. Operational issues like handles that turn too easily, too stiffly, or with grinding sensations point to mechanical wear inside the valve assembly that affects daily comfort even when no leak is yet present. Temperature fluctuations during use can indicate cartridge problems, water heater issues, or cross-connection between hot and cold supplies through worn check valves. Each symptom narrows the diagnosis and informs which components need attention rather than wholesale replacement. Walking through the home before any work begins gives the homeowner confidence that the right repair is being recommended for the actual problem.

Identifying the specific make and model of the faucet matters significantly for parts availability and proper repair technique, and this step makes the difference between same-visit repair and a return trip. Major manufacturers including Moen, Delta, Kohler, Price Pfister, American Standard, Grohe, Pfister, and Hansgrohe each have proprietary cartridge designs and repair parts that are not interchangeable between brands. Generic replacement parts often do not work properly even when they appear visually similar, since internal dimensions, seal configurations, and water flow paths vary between brands in ways that affect performance. Reading model numbers from faucet bodies, escutcheon plates, or original installation paperwork helps identify the specific product accurately. Some faucets have model numbers stamped or laser-etched in hidden locations under handles, behind escutcheon plates, or on the bottom of the faucet body. Manufacturer websites and parts databases provide exploded diagrams and parts lists for current and discontinued models, which support accurate identification of needed components. Our plumbers carry parts and rebuild kits for the most common faucets on every service truck so most repairs complete on the first visit. When specialty parts are needed, we know which suppliers stock them and how quickly they can be obtained for the return appointment. Documenting the faucet brand and model during the initial visit, including photographs when helpful, allows us to bring the right parts to the actual repair visit and minimize return trips. Knowing the faucet identification before scheduling helps us prepare appropriately and respect the homeowner’s time.

Cartridge replacement is the most common faucet repair in modern fixtures because ceramic disc cartridges and other valve cartridges eventually wear out from the millions of operations they perform over their service lives. The cartridge controls both flow and temperature within the faucet, and worn components inside lead to drips, temperature fluctuations, and operational issues that affect daily use. Replacement involves shutting off the water at the shutoff valves under the sink, removing the handle and decorative components in the manufacturer’s recommended sequence, extracting the old cartridge with appropriate tools that fit the specific design, installing the new cartridge with proper orientation, and reassembling the faucet correctly. Different manufacturers use different cartridge designs, including single-handle, two-handle, pressure-balance for showers, and thermostatic configurations that each require slightly different techniques. Specialty tools like cartridge pullers handle stubborn cartridges that resist removal due to mineral buildup or corrosion accumulated over years of service. Hard water in the Burleson area contributes significantly to cartridge problems by depositing minerals on internal components that affect movement and sealing. Proper alignment of the new cartridge ensures correct operation of hot and cold sides, since incorrect installation can swap the temperature control or prevent full operation. Lubricating the new cartridge with appropriate plumber’s grease during installation extends its operational life and ensures smooth handle movement. Testing the repair under full pressure confirms the cartridge is properly seated and the seals are functioning correctly. Cartridge replacement typically takes 30 to 60 minutes for most faucets and restores function for years to come without other interventions.

O-ring and seal replacement addresses a different set of common faucet problems that affect different parts of the fixture than cartridge issues. Leaks at the base of a kitchen faucet spout typically result from failed O-rings between the spout body and the faucet base where the spout rotates for normal use. These O-rings wear over time from the constant friction of spout movement combined with mineral exposure and temperature cycling. Pull-down sprayers with hoses that leak at the connection point often need O-ring or washer replacement at the swivel joint where the hose connects to the faucet body. Bathroom faucet leaks around handles frequently trace to failed O-rings within the valve assembly that prevent water from sealing properly between operations. The repair involves disassembling the affected component carefully, removing the old O-rings and seals without damaging adjacent parts, cleaning all sealing surfaces thoroughly to remove mineral deposits and old lubricant, installing fresh O-rings of the exact correct size with appropriate plumber’s grease, and reassembling carefully without pinching or twisting the new components. Proper O-ring sizes are critical because incorrect sizes either fail immediately or damage the faucet during installation, even when they appear visually similar to the correct part. Plumber’s grease compatible with potable water lubricates the O-rings during installation and helps maintain the seal during operation over time. Cleaning mineral deposits from surfaces where O-rings seat improves long-term performance significantly because rough surfaces wear new O-rings prematurely. Our team carries assortment kits with common O-ring sizes for major faucet brands so most O-ring repairs complete during the initial visit.

Aerator cleaning and replacement addresses flow and spray pattern issues that affect daily faucet use without involving the more complex internal components. The aerator at the end of the spout mixes air with water to create a soft spray pattern while maintaining flow at the desired rate. Mineral deposits from the hard water common throughout the Burleson area gradually clog the small openings in the aerator screen, reducing flow over months and years until the problem becomes noticeable. Debris from pipe corrosion, sediment from the water heater, or other particles can also block aerators and cause sudden flow reductions after particular events like neighborhood water main work. Removal involves either unscrewing the aerator from the spout by hand or using a special tool for cache aerators that are recessed inside the spout to maintain a clean appearance. Soaking aerators in white vinegar for several hours dissolves mineral deposits effectively in most cases and restores normal flow. Heavily clogged or damaged aerators need replacement rather than cleaning when the components themselves have degraded beyond what cleaning can address. Aerator threads on the spout occasionally strip or corrode, requiring more involved repair or sometimes spout replacement when the damage is severe. Standard aerator sizes include 15/16 inch male, 55/64 inch female, and various proprietary sizes used by specific manufacturers for their cache aerator designs. Keeping aerator threads protected during installation with thread sealant prevents future problems and makes future service easier. Our team handles aerator service quickly and explains how to perform basic cleaning between professional visits to maintain optimal flow.

Tub and shower valve repair presents specialized challenges that differ substantially from sink faucet work both in access and in the specific components involved. Single-handle tub and shower valves typically use pressure-balance cartridges that maintain water temperature when other fixtures are used elsewhere in the home, preventing the sudden hot or cold blasts that older non-balanced valves allowed. These pressure-balance cartridges fail similarly to sink faucet cartridges, with drips at the tub spout or shower head being the most common symptom homeowners notice. Thermostatic valves used in higher-end installations provide even more precise temperature control but have correspondingly more complex internals when service is needed. Accessing the valve usually requires removing the trim plate or escutcheon, the handle and any pull-up diverter, the temperature limit stop that prevents scalding, and sometimes additional components like volume controls or decorative covers before the cartridge can be reached. Some valves require pulling additional components like temperature dials or extension assemblies that compound the disassembly complexity. Shutoff for tub and shower repair often requires using the main shutoff for the home rather than dedicated shutoff valves at the fixture, since most tub and shower installations lack convenient local shutoffs. Two-handle and three-handle tub and shower valves use different repair approaches, with separate hot and cold valves that can be serviced independently when only one side is failing. Shower head and tub spout replacement is often performed during valve service since the same access work allows multiple repairs efficiently while the trim is already removed. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter handles all tub and shower configurations including older configurations no longer in current production where parts availability becomes part of the diagnostic process.

Pull-down and pull-out sprayer repair addresses problems specific to these popular kitchen faucet features that combine spout functionality with handheld sprayer convenience. The sprayer hose connects the faucet body to the sprayer head, and hose failures can cause leaks, weak flow, or complete sprayer malfunction depending on where the failure occurs along the hose length. Replacement hoses are available from manufacturers for most popular models, with specific routing requirements through the faucet body that must be followed carefully for proper operation. Weight assemblies on pull-down sprayers help the sprayer retract back into the faucet properly after use, and damaged or improperly positioned weights affect retraction quality. The weight typically clips around the hose at a specific position that varies by manufacturer and must be set correctly during installation. Sprayer head failures typically involve clogged spray patterns from mineral buildup or worn switching mechanisms between aerated and spray modes. Repair often involves cleaning aerator screens within the sprayer head with vinegar or replacement of the entire sprayer head when damage is too extensive for cleaning. Quick-disconnect fittings at the sprayer connection allow simpler service than older fixed connections that required cutting and re-fitting the hose. Diverter valves within the faucet body that route water between the spout and sprayer can fail over time, causing reduced flow when switching between modes or constant flow from both outlets. Our team handles all common sprayer configurations and carries parts for major manufacturers. Repairs typically restore proper function without requiring complete faucet replacement, which preserves the homeowner’s original investment in the fixture.

Our Service

Why Hiring a Licensed Plumber for Faucet Repair Matters in Burleson

Faucet repair looks simple on the surface, yet improper work often turns a small drip into a flooded cabinet. Licensed plumbers in Texas train on fixture mechanics, water pressure dynamics, and the correct disassembly methods for every faucet style. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter has carried a Texas plumbing license since 2007, giving Burleson customers verified, code-compliant service. A licensed professional identifies the actual failed component instead of replacing random parts until the leak stops. Unlicensed repairs frequently strip threads, crack ceramic discs, or damage shut-off valves that then require expensive replacement. Licensed plumbers also check supply lines and angle stops during the visit, catching corrosion before it causes a future leak. Texas plumbing code addresses backflow protection and fixture connections that affect overall water safety. Our crew respects those standards on every repair. Liability coverage protects your cabinets, flooring, and countertops if anything goes wrong. Manufacturer warranties on premium faucets often require licensed service work to remain valid. Honest assessments, fair pricing, and clean job sites come standard with our team. Choosing a licensed plumber like Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter means the repair holds, the fixture lasts, and your home stays protected.

Most Common Faucet Repair Questions

Faucet repairs range from simple aerator cleanings to complex cartridge replacements depending on the specific problem. Below are the questions Burleson homeowners ask most often when faucet trouble appears.

A dripping faucet typically results from worn internal valve components that no longer create a complete seal when the faucet is turned off. Ceramic disc cartridges, the standard in most modern faucets, develop wear after years of use that eventually allows small amounts of water to pass through even in the closed position. Cartridge replacement resolves drips in most modern faucets and restores reliable shutoff for years to come. Older faucets with washers and seats develop similar wear, with washers compressing and hardening over time while valve seats develop small grooves where washers seat. Washer and seat repair on older compression faucets is more involved than cartridge replacement but follows similar principles.

The location of the drip provides important diagnostic information about which component has failed. Drips from the spout when the faucet is turned off indicate failed valve components within the faucet body, which is the most common drip cause. Drips from the base of the spout where it meets the faucet body usually result from failed O-rings around the spout swivel. Drips around the handle base typically indicate failed handle O-rings or seals. Drips from the supply connections under the sink point to failed compression fittings or supply line problems rather than the faucet itself. Each drip location requires different repair approaches, and proper diagnosis prevents wasted effort on the wrong components.

Hot and cold side drips have different implications for two-handle faucets compared to single-handle faucets. In two-handle faucets, a drip that responds to either handle being turned slightly indicates the corresponding side’s valve is failing. Drips from only the hot or cold supply suggest the issue is specific to that side and the other side may still be functioning properly. Single-handle faucets with drips typically need full cartridge replacement since both hot and cold flow through the same valve assembly. Mineral buildup in the valve area can also cause drips by preventing components from seating properly even when they are not technically worn. Cleaning and rebuilding sometimes resolves these issues without full part replacement. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter diagnoses drip causes accurately and recommends repairs that match the actual problem rather than guessing at solutions.

Faucet repair costs vary based on the specific problem, the faucet brand and model, and the parts required for the repair. Simple aerator cleanings and minor adjustments fall at the lower end of the price range and can often be completed in less than an hour. Cartridge replacements typically cost more because of both the parts and the labor involved. O-ring and seal replacements vary in cost depending on how much disassembly is required to access the affected components. Tub and shower valve repairs cost more than sink faucet repairs because of the additional access work and the complexity of pressure-balance or thermostatic valves. We provide flat-rate pricing upfront so the homeowner knows the total cost before authorizing the work.

The cost of replacement parts varies significantly between faucet brands and ages. Cartridges for current model faucets from major manufacturers typically have reasonable prices and good availability. Specialty cartridges for premium or imported faucets sometimes cost considerably more. Parts for discontinued faucets may be limited in availability and higher in price when they can be found. The brand and model of the faucet affects both parts cost and repair labor time. Some manufacturers offer simpler service access than others, which affects how long the repair takes. Our team identifies the faucet during the initial visit when possible and includes parts costs in the upfront quote. Manufacturers occasionally include lifetime warranties on certain components, which can reduce parts costs significantly when warranty coverage applies.

Repair versus replacement becomes the key question when repair costs approach the cost of a new faucet. Simple repairs on quality faucets are almost always worthwhile because the faucet body, finish, and structural components have many more years of useful life. Complex repairs on aging or lower-quality faucets sometimes cost as much as a new mid-range replacement. Multiple problems affecting different components in the same faucet often signal that broader replacement makes more sense. We share the repair-versus-replace analysis openly with each homeowner. Some customers prefer to repair an existing faucet they love rather than start over with a new model, and we respect that preference and perform quality work. Others recognize that replacement makes more sense and proceed accordingly. The decision belongs to the homeowner, and we support whichever path serves them best.

Most faucet repairs are completed in one to two hours from arrival to cleanup, assuming the necessary parts are available on the truck. Aerator cleaning typically takes less than 30 minutes including diagnosis and reassembly. Cartridge replacement on standard faucets usually completes within an hour. O-ring and seal replacements range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on how much disassembly is needed. Tub and shower valve repairs take longer than sink work because of the additional access requirements. Total time includes diagnosis, the repair itself, testing, and cleanup of the work area.

Several factors can extend repair time beyond the standard range. Specialty parts not on the truck require either pickup from a local supplier or shipment from the manufacturer, adding time to the project. Difficult access to the faucet, such as cabinets with garbage disposals, water filters, or stored items blocking the work area, slows the project. Stuck or seized components from years of mineral buildup or corrosion require additional time to free without damage. Multiple problems requiring attention during the same visit naturally take longer than single-issue repairs. Older or premium faucets sometimes require techniques specific to their design that take longer than common brands. Our team manages these complications efficiently but communicates clearly when unexpected issues extend the visit.

Same-visit completion is the goal for most faucet repairs we perform. Carrying common parts on the truck for major manufacturers allows immediate repair in most situations. When specialty parts are needed, we typically schedule a return visit promptly once the parts arrive. Documenting the specific repair requirements during the initial visit ensures the right parts are obtained for the return. Multiple faucet repairs in the same home benefit from combined visits that save total time compared to separate appointments. Our office staff coordinates scheduling to maximize efficiency for both the homeowner and the technician. Realistic time estimates are provided during scheduling so homeowners can plan accordingly. Patience pays off on complex repairs, and rushing through difficult situations creates problems that surface later.

Faucet repair is one of the more accessible plumbing projects for homeowners with basic tools and confidence. Many common problems can be addressed by patient homeowners willing to follow manufacturer instructions and online repair guides. Aerator cleaning is among the simplest faucet maintenance tasks and requires only basic tools. Cartridge replacement on most modern faucets is feasible for DIY work with the right cartridge and the willingness to follow manufacturer instructions carefully. Supply line replacement requires only basic tools and reasonable space under the sink. Internet videos and manufacturer documentation provide guidance for most common repairs on popular faucet brands.

Several factors can turn what should be a straightforward repair into a frustrating project. Identifying the correct replacement parts requires accurate identification of the faucet brand and model, which can be difficult on older or unmarked fixtures. Generic parts that look similar to the original frequently do not work properly because of small dimensional differences. Specialty tools like cartridge pullers are sometimes needed for stuck cartridges that resist removal with basic tools. Mineral buildup in older faucets makes disassembly difficult and increases the risk of breaking components during repair attempts. Damaged threads, stripped screws, or broken components during DIY work can render the faucet completely unrepairable and force replacement. Tight access under sinks and in shower valves makes the physical work challenging even when the steps are understood.

The case for hiring a licensed plumber for faucet repair rests on several practical considerations. The cost of professional repair is modest compared to the cost of replacement if a DIY attempt damages the faucet. Plumbers carry parts and tools for common brands, eliminating multiple trips to hardware stores during the project. Diagnostic experience helps plumbers identify the actual problem quickly rather than spending hours on trial-and-error troubleshooting. Service calls are efficient when the plumber arrives prepared. Manufacturer warranties sometimes require professional service to remain valid for certain components. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter handles faucet repairs throughout Burleson as part of routine service. The peace of mind from professional repair often justifies the cost, particularly for homeowners who are not comfortable with under-sink plumbing work. Some homeowners enjoy doing their own repairs and have the tools and experience to handle them well, while others prefer to have professionals handle plumbing entirely.

Several signs indicate replacement makes more sense than continued repair. Multiple problems affecting different components of the same faucet, particularly when problems develop in close succession, suggest that the faucet is approaching end of life. Repair costs approaching the cost of a comparable new faucet rarely make financial sense compared to replacement with a fresh fixture. Discontinued faucets where parts are no longer available naturally force replacement when problems develop. Visible damage to faucet finishes, cracked spouts, or deteriorated bodies indicate that even successful repairs would leave a faucet that needs replacement soon anyway. Outdated styling that no longer matches the home’s design provides aesthetic motivation for replacement alongside any functional issues.

Age is a useful but not absolute indicator for replacement decisions. Quality faucets from major manufacturers typically deliver 15 to 25 years of reliable service when properly maintained. Faucets approaching the upper end of expected service life often start showing multiple symptoms simultaneously as various components reach the end of their useful lives. Lower-cost faucets sometimes fail much earlier than the published service life, and decisions about repair versus replacement may come at relatively young ages for these products. Premium faucets that have provided 20 or more years of service may be worth significant repair investment because remaining components are typically in good condition. The repair-or-replace decision depends on more than just the calendar age.

Several factors beyond simple economics affect replacement decisions. Households planning kitchen or bathroom remodels often prefer to replace faucets as part of broader updates rather than repair existing fixtures shortly before replacement. Buyer expectations during home sales sometimes drive faucet upgrades even when existing fixtures are functional. Changes in household needs, such as adding pull-down sprayers for cooking or touchless operation for hygiene, may motivate replacement of working but outdated faucets. Water efficiency improvements available in newer fixtures may justify replacement of older, less efficient models for homes focused on conservation. Our team discusses all these factors openly during repair consultations. The honest recommendation considers the homeowner’s specific situation rather than defaulting to the easier or more profitable option. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter has built our reputation on honest assessments throughout Burleson.

Stiff or hard-to-turn handles indicate problems within the valve assembly that affect normal operation. Mineral buildup on cartridge surfaces and within the valve body creates friction that makes handles difficult to move. Hard water in Burleson and surrounding areas contributes to this mineral accumulation over time. Lubricant failures within the valve allow metal-on-metal or metal-on-ceramic contact that creates resistance. Damaged O-rings or seals can also cause unusual operating resistance when they swell, harden, or distort over time. Internal corrosion from chemical attack or galvanic effects can damage valve surfaces in ways that affect smooth operation.

Several specific symptoms help diagnose the underlying cause of stiff handles. Handles that gradually became harder to turn over months or years typically indicate buildup or wear progressing slowly. Sudden changes in handle operation suggest a specific failure event like a damaged component or sudden mineral release into the valve. Grinding or grating sensations during handle movement point to mechanical damage within the valve assembly. Resistance only in certain positions or temperature settings suggests issues specific to those operating conditions. Squeaking or chirping sounds during operation often indicate dry lubrication that needs attention. Each symptom narrows the diagnosis and informs the appropriate repair approach.

Cartridge replacement resolves most stiff-handle problems on modern faucets by providing fresh internal components with proper factory lubrication. The new cartridge restores smooth operation and typically eliminates any grinding or unusual sensations during handle movement. Cleaning the valve body during cartridge replacement removes accumulated mineral deposits that would affect the new cartridge if left in place. Plumber’s grease applied to appropriate surfaces during reassembly provides ongoing lubrication for smooth operation. In some cases, damaged valve bodies cannot be properly serviced even with new cartridges, and full faucet replacement becomes necessary. Older faucets with stiff handles sometimes have damage that makes successful repair difficult. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter diagnoses stiff handle problems accurately and recommends the appropriate solution. Restoring smooth operation makes daily faucet use noticeably more pleasant for the entire household.

Low water pressure at a single faucet typically points to issues at that specific fixture rather than the broader plumbing system. Clogged aerators are the most common cause of reduced flow at individual faucets, with mineral deposits and debris gradually blocking the small openings in the aerator screen. Cleaning or replacing the aerator usually restores normal flow within minutes. Sprayer heads on kitchen faucets develop similar clogging issues over time and respond to similar cleaning. Diverter valves within kitchen faucets that route water between the spout and sprayer can fail, causing reduced flow when switching between modes. Internal blockages within the faucet body from accumulated debris or scale can also affect flow.

Low pressure affecting multiple faucets in the same area or throughout the home points to broader plumbing issues rather than individual faucet problems. Shutoff valves that are partially closed reduce flow to specific fixtures even when those fixtures are functioning properly. Aging supply lines can develop internal restrictions that reduce flow over time. Galvanized supply pipes from older construction often have significant internal corrosion that reduces flow capacity throughout the home. Water heater problems can cause reduced hot water flow specifically while cold flow remains normal. Pressure reducing valve failures can cause systemwide pressure changes. Main water service line restrictions affect the entire home equally.

Diagnosing pressure problems requires testing at multiple points in the system. Pressure gauges connected to outdoor hose bibs provide readings of incoming pressure from the city supply. Comparing pressure at different fixtures helps isolate where restrictions are occurring. Flow rate testing at individual fixtures quantifies actual performance against expectations. Testing both hot and cold supplies separately at each affected fixture identifies which side is restricted. Documenting symptoms across the entire home during diagnosis helps build a complete picture of the issue. Our team performs thorough diagnostic work before recommending repairs to ensure the recommended solution actually addresses the underlying problem. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter has resolved countless low-pressure issues for Burleson homeowners through accurate diagnosis followed by targeted repair.

A small drip from a faucet seems trivial but can cause real water damage over time when the leak goes unaddressed. The constant moisture under and around the affected fixture creates conditions that damage countertops, cabinets, and surrounding finishes. Wood components beneath sinks absorb moisture and swell, warp, or rot when subjected to ongoing leakage. Cabinet bottoms made of particleboard or MDF disintegrate quickly when exposed to repeated moisture. Mineral deposits accumulate on surrounding surfaces as the dripping water evaporates, leaving stains and buildup that can be difficult to remove. Sealants and caulk around fixtures fail prematurely with constant moisture exposure, allowing water to penetrate further into structures.

More serious leaks can cause more significant damage in shorter periods. Leaks at supply line connections under sinks often go unnoticed in normally closed cabinets until water damage becomes obvious from outside. Cabinet contents stored on bottom shelves get damaged or destroyed before the leak is discovered. Wall and floor damage behind and around the cabinet develops with extended exposure. Mold growth begins within 24 to 48 hours of moisture exposure in suitable conditions, and the resulting remediation can be more expensive than the original repair would have been. Slow leaks that drip into wall cavities behind tub and shower valves can cause major hidden damage that affects multiple rooms and remains undiscovered for months.

Acting promptly on any visible leak protects the home from the cumulative damage that develops over time. Tightening connections temporarily can sometimes stop leaks until professional repair is scheduled. Placing buckets or absorbent materials below known leaks captures water and prevents damage until repairs happen. Calling for service quickly limits exposure time and the resulting damage. Insurance considerations can also favor prompt action, since some policies have exclusions for damage from neglected maintenance issues. Big Blade Plumbing & Rooter responds to leak calls throughout Burleson and the surrounding communities. The cost of professional repair is always less than the cost of water damage that develops when leaks go untreated. Calling sooner rather than later protects the home and its contents from preventable problems. Our team understands the urgency and schedules service to address active leaks promptly.
